Charles 'Chuck' Baldwin - Only a Miracle

I've been looking at the Constitution Party as a prospective new political home, since I can not stay with the Republican Party. The Constitution Party has selected Dr. Charles Baldwin as their candidate for the Presidency. Dr. Baldwin has a number of articles published at his web site, Chuck Baldwin Live , and I've been reading them. He isn't very impressed with John McCain, so he and I are in agreement so far.

"On many issues, there is virtually no distinction between John McCain and any potential Democratic candidate. John McCain is no friend to gun owners. He is no friend to pro-lifers. He is no friend to fiscal conservatives. He is no friend to property owners. He is no friend to "family values" voters. He is no friend to America's blue-collar workers. He is no friend to small business owners. He is no friend to opponents of illegal immigration.

On the other hand, John McCain is a great friend to Big Business. Similarly, he is a friend to Big Government and Big Brother. He is also a friend to open borders, supranational government, regionalism, and American imperialism."

Chuck also agrees with me (or is it I with him?) that McCain is the greater of the evils we have to choose from (provided by the two major parties), not the lesser.

"America is currently facing the most serious threat to its national independence and sovereignty since the War of 1812. The forces of globalism have declared an all-out war against our country's independence. Illegal immigration, the NAFTA superhighway, the North American Community, a regional currency called the Amero, and "free trade" deals are just a few of the weapons in their arsenal. And John McCain will use every bit of his power as President to facilitate all of this chicanery. And, because McCain is a Republican, conservatives and Christians will sit back and let it happen without even the slightest whimper of resistance. If Obama or Clinton were sitting in the Oval Office, however, massive numbers of conservatives and Christians would rise in protest over every inch of ground ceded to these nefarious nabobs. So, tell me, who is the greater evil? I say it is John McCain."

It sounds to me like he gets it. If you'll follow the link above and click on the seventh article in the list (Only A Miracle Can Save America Now) you can read the whole article I've quoted from above. Better yet, read them all so that you can get a good idea of where he is coming from. I'm very impressed, but I won't criticize anyone who disagrees with me. We each have the right to our own opinions.

Then consider this: There are currently 39,139,653 registered as Democrats, 29,955,197 registered as Republicans, 23,315,495 registered as Independants, and only 384,722 registered with the Constitution Party - even though it is the third largest party in the country. I think we can take 10 to 15% of the Democrats, 50 or 60% (and maybe as much as 85%) of the Republicans, and as much as 85% of the Independants; that is, get them to join the Constitution Party and vote for its candidate, Chuck Baldwin. That would bring the Constitution Party up to the size of the Democratic Party and make the Republican Party into a permanent minority party. Would it be easy? Of course not. Can we do it? Absolutely! How? That's a good subject for a future article.

E-Mail to Bill O'Reilly

Why bring up Obama's 'One World' (Economy) sympathies now? It's not like it's news, you know. Just like Bill and Hillary Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Condelezze Rice, Colin Powell, and oh, yes, let's not forget about George Soros and his contributions to John McCain's campaign (via Teresa Kerry's Tide(s?) Foundation). You know, the people who are members of the Council on Foreign Relations. Yes, the same CFR of which Newscorp is a corporate member.

Of course, you know all that... unless you're the dumbest person on television. The names of many of the CFR's members are available from their website, including corporate members like NBC (through parent corp), ABC, CNN (through parent corp), Fox News (through Newscorp), and many, MANY, others. The names of individuals not on the website are available for the asking.

Let's not even talk about the Trilateral Commission, and where it came from.

You don't need a global government if you have a global economy. Those who control a global economy control all governments.

You don't need a conspiracy to control a global economy, the international corporations will do what's in their best interest and control the global economy to do it. What's in their best interest is a smoothly running profitable global economy.

Remove the plank from your own eyes before you try to remove the speck from mine.

I don't know why I even bother...

To vote, or not to vote

OK, I messed up. I stayed home in 2006 and helped us lose both the House of Representatives and the Senate. It wasn't a conscious decision to get even with Bush and the GOP, but I was plenty PO'd. What I did was wrong.

I have a chance to try to correct my error, though, and that is why I started this blog. That, and Townhall started limiting comments to articles so much that I couldn't post sections of Title 8, USC, of sufficient length to show that I wasn't 'cherry picking' info to mislead someone.

Several have commented to articles that they would not vote if the Republican candidate was X, or would only vote if it was Y. That is extremely counter-productive and can easily result in the Democrats controlling both houses and the President's office. Some have commented that if that happens they would strongly consider taking up arms. That won't be necessary. We have the strength if we build the determination to succeed to take back one if not both houses as well as keep the Presidency.

But we MUST vote.

First, we MUST VOTE in the Primary elections. That means we must convince any who left the Republican Party to re-register as Republicans. We need their votes in the Primaries to help ensure that we are able to overcome any candidates fueled by big money machines. We have to make sure that we don't have to vote for a candidate who has been bought before the general election even happens.

Second, we MUST accept the winner of the Primary election as the Republican candidate, warts and all. How can we expect to be able to bring swing voters to our cause if we can't demonstrate solidarity and unity among ourselves. No one will side with a disorganized crowd or mob. We must all adopt winning the Presidential election as our most important goal. We can discuss the merits and flaws of those we have to choose from publicly and loudly until the Primary, but once the choice is made we must all support that choice whole-heartedly. Anything less dooms our candidate to failure.

That doesn't mean we can't establish conditions before the Primary. Below are some I would like to have adopted.

Our candidate must be honest beyond reproach. He must hold the Constitution as the supreme law of the land in all things political. He must be dedicated to enforcing the Nation's laws fully, equally, and completely.

I would like each candidate to sign a pledge to choose the first runner-up in the Primary as his candidate for the Vice-President, and that he would accept being chosen if he were the first runner-up. First, by virtue of being the first runner-up, he is our second choice for the Presidency. Therefore, it is logical that he should be the one first in line to succeed the President, act as President when (and if) necessary, and ascend to the Presidency if necessary. We can always short-circuit that line at the Primaries if we find it necessary.

I'll stop here for now and watch for comments, then add more later.

Well, it's later... and it looks like John McCain will be the Republican candidate. I'll vote a straight Republican ticket downstream, but I absolutely can not vote for McCain. I just can't. I see the man as a bald-faced liar, a liberal, and one who stands against everything I believe in. His stand for amnesty for criminal alien invaders is a deal-breaker. Sorry.

NOW it's even later. McCain pulled off a miracle for himself, and possibly for us too. He selected Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential candidate. That changes everything... with the addition of the Republican Party platform which proclaims that the Republican Party is against amnesty for illegal aliens. Now I have someone to vote FOR who can help steer the Republican Party toward the Constitution and Conservative principles. There isn't TIME to build a third party that is strong enough to defeat either major party. If McCain doesn't follow the Constitution (strictly!) we have four years to build the Constitution Party and we can work to defeat any attempts he might make to take our country farther to the left.

The main thing is: GET OUT AND VOTE on November 4th! That's the only say-so we have and the only way we have to hold our public servants accountable for their actions. If we don't do our jobs of controlling them we deserve to be controlled BY them!

What has John McCain actually said so far?

McCain has been reported to have said that he got the message and he'd build the [expletive deleted] fence. What he has not said is that he will aggressively enforce the laws prohibiting employing, harboring, and transporting illegal aliens to cause them to self-deport. Frankly, I do not trust what he has said, but I do trust what he has not said, to whit: he will seek amnesty for all those already present in the U.S. at the time his amnesty bill is re-introduced.

John McCain is wrong on so many issues, each almost as important as the Illegal Alien problem. The few he is right about are far outweighed by the many he is wrong about. That, and the fact that I perceive him to be a bald-faced liar makes him a totally unacceptable candidate for the Presidency. Why is it that the only "war heroes" we hear bragging about their service are Democrats running for the Presidency?

Since my primary has already occurred, and I was over-ridden by the Hispanic vote in Florida, I intend to register with the Constitution Party. I'd rather register with them and try to get them to draft Duncan Hunter than sit out the election or vote for Hillary. If enough Conservatives (who are actually fairly Constitutionalist) and conservative Democrats move to the Constitution Party, it could be bigger than the Democrat Party and make the globalist Republican Party irrelevant. Yes, there are conservative or Constitutionalist Democrats, probably about one-third of the party. They're not all left-wing extremists, you know. At least go check out the Constitution Party, you might like what you find there.
